The losses keep coming for the Memphis Grizzlies and they are becoming more and more interested in potential NBA Draft prospects. Here are three candidates.

With the Memphis Grizzlies suffering another heartbreaking loss on Monday — this time after being up as many as 25 points versus the Denver Nuggets — the team is now back to seventh in top-eight protected territory for their 2019 first round NBA Draft pick.

The Boston Celtics receive the pick if it gets lower than eight, but Monday’s loss makes it that much more difficult to convey the pick.

At this point, Memphis is in full tank-mode, even if they are keeping things close, such as their two-point overtime loss at the buzzer on Wednesday to the Minnesota Timberwolves. They are increasing their own odds.

In the vein of keeping the pick if it is indeed the Grizzlies’ to keep, Beale Street Bears presents a few NBA Draft prospects of the best value for the roster.

Factored in is future team needs, prospect potential impact, and most importantly, the best player available. They are divided into the following three categories: Dream Scenario, A Great Consolation, and The Double Down.
