NBA Trade Rumors: Memphis Grizzlies In Advanced Stages Of Sending Marc Gasol To Charlotte

We have had plenty of NBA trade rumors but none as serious as this. The Memphis Grizzlies are in strong talks to send Marc Gasol to Charlotte.

NBA trade rumors continue to come in and this one is very real. It seems as if the Memphis Grizzlies are going to be sending Marc Gasol to the Charlotte Hornets very soon.

We still have to wait and see will be involved but this deal makes a lot of sense for the Hornets. Charlotte wants to get as much talent around Kemba Walker as possible.

Gasol may not be the superstar that Walker wants to play with but it is a start and it should be enough to ensure they make the playoffs this season. We’ll have to wait and see what is involved before we make judgments though.

With Gasol not playing in this game, we can assume that a deal is very close and could even be done by the time the game is finished or maybe even sooner. It’s the end of an era in Memphis.

They tried to make a run this season but they just didn’t have the pieces to get it done. It was a fun decade with Mike Conley and Gasol leading the way.

It has also been noted that JaMychal Green and Joakim Noah are also not playing tonight so maybe one of those guys could be involved. The Hornets have some bad contracts such as Nicolas Batum and Bismack Biyombo who I’m sure they would love to deal.

If Charlotte is willing to offer either Malik Monk or Miles Bridges the Grizzlies would be ecstatic. Expect some picks to come back to Memphis as well as a bad contract or two.

Gasol gave his all for this city and franchise during his time here. We wish him well as he gets ready to head to Charlotte and compete for a playoff spot.
