The Memphis Grizzlies were able to be represented at NBA All-Star Weekend by Mike Conley. He was able to take place in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.

The Taco Bell Skills Challenge is known as one of the lesser events at NBA All-Star Weekend but it is still a lot of fun. The Memphis Grizzlies were lucky to be represented by Mike Conley in this event.

Conley was the eldest player participating amongst young stars such as Trae Young, Kyle Kuzma, and Luka Doncic. The way they selected the bracket had a fun twist to it.

They brought in Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns and rapper Ludacris selected numbers to select the field. They both selected a number one through eight with each player representing a number.

Conley was set to face Jayson Tatum in the first round of the matchup. Where he had a lead heading into the three-point shot.

Tatum missed the pass which gave Conley the lead but it didn’t seem as if he was giving full effort to capitalize on Tatum’s mistake. He still had a good chance to advance by just making a three-point shot but he was unable to capitalize as he missed two shots from the top of the arc.

The Boston Celtics‘ Jayson Tatum defeated Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks‘ in the championship round. It was an exciting event that featured some of the bright young stars in the NBA today. Many of these players will be playing in the all-star game sooner, rather than later.

Conley wasn’t the favorite here by any means but it would’ve been nice to see him advance further in the competition. Either way, it was really good to see him competing in NBA All-Star Weekend even though we all would rather have him playing in the all-star game on Sunday.
