Jarrett Culver

Jarrett Culver has shot up NBA mock drafts this season as he has shown himself to be a player with valuable two-way potential. He has carried this Texas Tech offense while also being a high-level defender.

In the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Texas Tech struggled at times, but they showed they were the superior team with Culver leading the charge. This is a team inconsistent at times on the offensive end and that was shown on full display. They needed Culver to step up and he did just that, finishing with 29 points to lead the Red Raiders to the 72-57 win.

He made an impact in every way possible as he also chipped in with eight rebounds, seven assists, as well as getting a steal and a block. His ability to dominate on both ends of the floor should at the very least make him a quality starter at the next level.

Texas Tech picked up a statement win when they beat a very good Buffalo team. It was a good all-around team effort in this game as they played great on both ends of the floor. Culver was effective in so many ways as he finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.

He was dominant in so many areas which will serve him well at the next level. He was shown he can take over offensively when needed, but he also is more than willing to take a backseat to his teammates. Look for him to be more assertive on the offensive end as they continue their Final Four push.
