Gonzaga. 19. 29. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Forward. Brandon Clarke. player

Brandon Clarke is a guy who has completely risen up NBA draft boards this season. He impacts the game in so many ways on both ends of the floor and helped lead Gonzaga to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

He is so efficient on the offensive end as his 68.7% shooting from the field led the nation. His offensive game is somewhat one dimensional, but he was dominant in that one way which will certainly translate to the next level.

After transferring over from San Jose State he had a big junior season at Gonzaga, averaging 16.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.1 blocks, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. With his versatility, he certainly will find a role, but to reach his full potential he will need to improve on his three-point shooting which was a non-factor during his college career. He doesn’t need to be great, but he will need to at least be able to knock down mid-range jumpers in the NBA.

The San Antonio Spurs are used to drafting steals later in the draft so this pick is just a given if he does drop this far. He does have some flaws for sure, but he has shown how good he can be in so many ways and he has done so on the national stage during the NCAA Tournament.
