Scouting Report. Guard. Keldon Johnson. 13. Pick Analysis. Kentucky. player. 38

Keldon Johnson is a very good player despite having some struggles during his freshman season at Kentucky. He still had some really good moments during their season as he helped them get to the Elite Eight, but it seemed as if he didn’t improve much as the season went along.

During his freshman campaign, he averaged 13.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He did a really good job creating for himself on the offensive end, but it seemed as if he struggled to create for others when he was needed to do so. He didn’t have the ball in his hands a lot so that may not be completely true, but he will need to show he can do that at the next level.

Some question whether he has a truly elite skill that he can hang his hat on, but I don’t think that has to be a big negative. He is good in a lot of areas and that can lead him to a lot of success at the next level.

If he were to get drafted by the Orlando Magic it would be a good fit for both him and the team. They have built a good young core to go forward with, but they do still need some help at the guard spot. Johnson could come in and help them right away as he continues to develop with the rest of the season.
