NBA Draft 2019: Mock Draft 1.0
By Chris Kern
Romeo Langford didn’t have a great season team wise at Indiana, but he certainly didn’t hurt his draft stock as much as some may think. Sure teams would prefer that he helped his team win more games, but they still saw the talent and potential that he has.
During his freshman season with the Hoosiers, he averaged 16.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He showed he can impact the game on the offensive end in a variety of ways, but he certainly has areas he needs to improve in. His three-point shooting needs to improve as he made just 27% of his shots from beyond the arc this season.
He is a very skilled player in a lot of ways, but he needs to continue to work if he wants to reach his full potential. The Minnesota Timberwolves haven’t been as good with that as some other teams, but maybe he can help all of their youngsters take the next step.
Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony-Towns are great players, but they haven’t helped the team win games. They put up big numbers, but it doesn’t lead to wins. The T-Wolves also drafted Josh Okogie last season who impressed so Langford would have to beat him out for minutes.
