NBA Draft 2019: Mock Draft 1.0
By Chris Kern
Just a few weeks ago Jarrett Culver seemed to be one of the most underrated prospects in this draft class and now he is looking as if he may be a top-five pick. He has turned himself into one of the best two-way prospects in this class.
We have seen him dominate games on both ends of the floor during the NCAA Tournament, but he has been doing that all season long. He has made a huge jump from his freshman season to his sophomore season which ended with him becoming the Big 12 Player of the Year.
He averaged 18.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. There have been many games this season where he just puts the team on his back and leads them to a win. Texas Tech is elite defensively, but they do struggle on offense at times which is when they need him to really lead them.
The Chicago Bulls may prefer a guy who can play both spots on the wing, but there are rumors that Culver continues to grow so there may be a small chance he can play that role. This team has a lot of solid young players at every spot. Zach Lavine is their shooting guard so drafting for that spot doesn’t make a lot of sense, but they just need all the talent they can get and then figure the rest out later.
