Forward. 27. 1. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Duke. Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson is the far and away projected top pick in the NBA Draft. I have yet to find a mock draft that has anybody else going ahead of him and that’s the way he should be. He is a special talent that will completely change the course of whatever NBA franchise that drafts him.

He is a guy who can impact the game at both ends of the floor in an elite way. Some people question his shooting but that didn’t impact him at Duke. It could impact him in the NBA, but so far in college, it hasn’t limited him at all. It is a concern for his team as they pursue a championship, but for him individually he has still been extremely effective.

He is actually shooting 34% from three-point range which isn’t great but it is more than manageable when you’re able to do the things elsewhere that he can. If he can shoot that 34% at the next level then he will be more than he will force teams to guard him out there and then that’s when he can go to work.

The New York Knicks are looking to make a big splash this offseason in both the draft in free agency. If they’re able to draft Williamson and sign guys such as Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving like they say they plan on doing then they could completely change the future in New York. It all starts with winning the lottery so they get the chance to draft Zion Williamson.
