Memphis Grizzlies: 3 Players From 2018-19 Team To Compete In The Postseason
By Chris Kern
The Memphis Grizzlies will not be in the playoffs, but they do have three players from this year’s squad who are in the playoffs with their current team.
The Memphis Grizzlies have made the playoffs a lot recently, but now they have missed it back-to-back seasons and they don’t seem to be very close to getting back there. They did have plenty of success though as they made seven straight postseasons from 2011-2017.
They never made the NBA Finals, but they did still have many good series wins such as when they upset the top-seeded Spurs as an 8 seed in 2011 and they also made the Western Conference Finals during the 2013 season.
Just because they aren’t in the playoffs doesn’t mean Grizzlies fans shouldn’t tune in. There are plenty of former Grizzlies to root for and even a few guys from this season’s squad that will be competing after being traded at the deadline.
They’re on two different teams as JaMychal Green and Garrett Temple are on the Los Angeles Clippers while Marc Gasol is on the Toronto Raptors. The Clippers take on the Golden State Warriors in the opening round while the Raptors take on the Orlando Magic.
All three of these players had some big moments with the Grizzlies this season and will look to have some postseason success as well. Here’s a look at these three players and how they will showcase their talents in the playoffs.
