The Memphis Grizzlies recently let go of J.B. Bickerstaff so they’ll need to hire a new head coach. Here are five of the top candidates they could consider.

The Memphis Grizzlies are making big changes to their organization. They recently demoted Chris Wallace to a scouting role to go along with the firing of head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. They haven’t had stability at the head coaching spot at all in their franchise’s history.

This is going to be a big offseason for this organization as they look to start the proper steps to building this team back up into a playoff contender and eventually a championship contender. If they’re unable to lock up a good coach then they could be stuck in mediocrity like they often have been.

Before they find a head coach they will need to fill out their front office. They need to hire some experienced leaders for that role as they need guys they can trust to turn this team around. With Mike Conley possibly on his way out of town, they would like that filled soon so they can decide the best possible plan to take.

Conley has made it known he doesn’t want to be around for a rebuild and that is most likely the path the Grizzlies will be taking. They have a good young star in Jaren Jackson Jr., but they need to continue to add more pieces that they can count on for the long haul.

With the turnover, they’ve had at the head coaching spot you want to hire somebody that can be trusted. They need to find somebody who can handle a rebuild and help them compete as quickly as possible. Here are five candidates to keep an eye on as the Grizzlies start their search.
