Weaknesses

Chandler Parsons has some holes in his game, but the biggest weakness for him is his inability to stay healthy. He’s nowhere near the star player he was signed to be, but if he could stay healthy for a whole season he would have a much better chance to make a bigger impact and get into more of a rhythm.

While we discussed his three-point success in April as a strength, it was more of a weakness for the season as a whole. He shot just 31% from the three-point line this season, but his 37% shooting from the field showed he had concerns in other areas offensively.

It was jump shots as a whole for him that he really struggled with as he knocked down just 33% of them when you add in the mid-range shots to the three-point percentage.

He also had many mistakes on turnovers when he tried to create for others. With his offensive struggles, he tried to get his teammates going at times which led to some careless passes and mistakes. It’s something all players go through, but for him, he can’t afford all the same mistakes if he isn’t affecting the game in other ways like the majority of the other players.

His game has a lot of holes in it, but he hasn’t had the chance to fix them since he was injured for another large part of the season. He played in just 25 games and it seems it is very unlikely he will even play 50 games in a season again. He has a lot he needs to work on if he wants to make an impact, but his health has to be his priority when it comes to training this offseason.
