Memphis Grizzlies: 3 Teams Who Should Consider Trading For Mike Conley After Early Postseason Exits
By Chris Kern
Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons got dominated in the four-game sweep at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks. Blake Griffin was injured and missed two games, but even when he played he was nowhere near full health.
They have a good duo inside with Griffin and Andre Drummond, but they just don’t have enough on the perimeter. Luke Kennard had some solid performances, but he has a long ways to go before he becomes a reliable starter in this league.

Their point guard is Reggie Jackson who has had some good moments, but he just isn’t up there when discussing the top point guards in the NBA. You don’t necessarily need an elite point guard to compete since the Bucks have Eric Bledsoe, but you have to have talented scorers elsewhere and Milwaukee has that with guys such as Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez.
The Pistons are in a tough spot since they don’t have much money to spend to get better in free agency. They’re locked into this current core unless they can make a trade. Mike Conley might be the best player that they could potentially make a trade for.
A trio of Conley, Griffin, and Drummond could be enough to make some noise in the eastern conference. They would need better role players around them to contend, but if they build this big three that gives them the star power that they need.
All three of these teams are potential landing spots for Mike Conley. The Grizzlies will take whichever team matches their asking price in a deal. These three teams should all at the very least consider making a deal since they all could benefit from having a star point guard added to their roster.
