Unsure of which teams will advanced to the Conference Finals in this year’s NBA Playoffs? Look no further than the Memphis Grizzlies’ regular season outcomes.

The Memphis Grizzlies obviously did not qualifiy for the 2019 NBA Playoffs. In fact, they were far from it. Following the NBA’s tiebreaker results, the Grizzlies finished eighth-worst for the 2018-19 NBA season.

Regardless, not all was lost for Memphis in a trying season. They did not necessarily underacheive. If anything, they were exactly what most NBA experts thought they were — a middle-of-the-pack club. They were slightly better than the previous season, and that was expected.

Now that the Memphis Grizzlies’ sights are set on the NBA Draft Lottery, which will take place in the month of May, there is still plenty to appreciate regarding the NBA Playoffs. Even if the current Grizz roster is enjoying an early vacation, there are some former members of the franchise absolutely worth watching.

Additionally, this is an excellent time to scout opponents’ rosters to determine who Memphis needs to throw dollars toward once NBA Free-Agency arrives. Depending upon which trades are explored by the Grizzlies over the next couple of months, there could be a handful of players currently in the NBA Playoffs that will receive interest by way of the Grizzlies.

Lastly, basketball is basketball, and the NBA Playoffs are the best time of the year for NBA hoops in general. With the opening round reaching full completion following a Game 7 between the Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, there are now four intriguing matchups remaining on the postseason table.

The final eight teams are first through four in both of the respective conferences. The NBA’s regular season correctly determined the rightful teams meant for this point of the NBA Playoffs. Now, things will really start to get interesting.

Are the Milwaukee Bucks ready for the big stage? Can the Golden Warriors bring home the championship trophy yet again this decade? Will the Denver Nuggets overcome their youthfulness and make a name for themselves? Do the Toronto Raptors have enough depth to reach the NBA Finals?

These are all questions in which the Conference Semifinals will assist in answering. For now, Beale Street Bears provides series predictions based off the Memphis Grizzlies’ fortunes from their 2018-19 regular season.
