With a Mike Conley trade potentially looming this offseason the Memphis Grizzlies need to be aware of possible replacements. Here are five players they could sign in free agency.

Mike Conley has had a tremendous run during his time with the Memphis Grizzlies. He has continually been overlooked when discussing top point guards in the game and he has never been an all-star.

This past season was the best season of his career which will lead to more suitors this summer in a potential trade. He played in 70 games averaging 21.1 points, 6.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game on 44% shooting including 36% from three-point range.

He did struggle at times throughout the season, but especially late in the season, he was able to take it to another level. In the 14 games after the all-star break that he played in, he averaged 25.8 points, 6.5 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game.

The way he played late in the season and how he fit in with the new group could lead to the Grizzlies consider keeping him if they don’t get an offer that they like. They shouldn’t feel the need to trade him unless it’s a good haul in return.

Many teams will be interested in trading for him and some of those teams won’t have a starting caliber point guard to offer in return. The Grizzlies could use draft picks to fill the point guard spot or they could re-sign Delon Wright to play that role.

If they do decide to trade Conley and would prefer that Wright stays in a backup point guard role they do have some options in free agency that would make sense. Here are five potential free agents that the Memphis Grizzlies could sign to be their starting point guard.
