Virginia. player. 89. Pick Analysis. Guard. Ty Jerome. 30. Scouting Report

Ty Jerome had a good junior season as he helped lead Virginia to a championship with a win over Texas Tech in the title game. His improved play has him being discussed as an option for team’s drafting later on in the first round.

He impacts the game on both ends of the floor which will lead to him finding a role on a teams second unit. The way he was able to control the college game is exactly what you want out of a backup point guard. He could play some at the shooting guard spot as well since he is 6’5″.

Jerome played in 37 games this past season averaging 13.6 points, 5.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. He posted percentages of 44% from the field, 40% from three-point range, and 74% from the free-throw line.

The Milwaukee Bucks are a good potential landing spot for him. They are one of the best teams in the NBA who have had some really good role players succeed during their time there. Pat Connaughton has been a key player off the bench and Jerome could have a similar impact.

With Khris Middleton and Malcolm Brogdon set for free agency, they need to be prepared for anything. They will do what they can to bring them back, but even if they do bring them back they could always use more depth. The Bucks are in a spot where they could win a championship in the next couple of years and bringing in another quality guard to add to their rotation will help them make that happen.
