NBA Draft 2019: Mock Draft 2.0
By Chris Kern
Luguentz Dort is an exciting draft prospect who gets slept on when discussing the top guys in this draft. His ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor makes him very exciting to watch. One area he does struggle in is his three-point shooting as he made just 31% of his shots from beyond the arc this season.
Besides some shooting struggles, he certainly did have a very good freshman season. In 34 games this past season he averaged 16.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. His ability to impact the game in so many ways is why he has the potential to be great.
The Golden State Warriors could really use a guy like him in their second unit. When they were competing for championships their slogan was ” Strength In Numbers” since they had dominant second units behind their elite starting lineup.
They gave up some of that when they signed Kevin Durant and while that has affected them then it could have an impact in the future. With Durant and or Klay Thomspon possibly on their way out of town, Dort would be a nice addition to this team.
