The Memphis Grizzlies have the 2nd overall pick in the NBA Draft, but they could potentially add a second first-round pick if they were to trade Mike Conley away.

With the Memphis Grizzlies securing the 2nd overall pick in the NBA Draft that is a win in and of itself. They do have the opportunity to add another pick in the draft if that’s what they want to do. With Mike Conley potentially on his way out of Memphis, they could opt to trade him prior to the draft so they can add another young player to the mix.

Conley had an amazing season this past year as he was playing the best basketball of his career. He played in 70 games, averaging 21.1 points, 6.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game on 44% from the field including 36% from three-point range.

There were some rumors that he was almost traded prior to the trade deadline with the Utah Jazz as one of the top teams interested in him. They are one of many teams who are expected to make an offer for Conley during the offseason.

With free agency being the main focus for many teams it may make it difficult to find a trade partner prior to the draft, but there are going to be at least a few teams that consider doing so. They might not get the package that they’d like to, but if they can add another first rounder in this year’s class that could be a big enough part for them to get it done.

So many teams could view Mike Conley as a backup option this summer, but he still could get traded for prior to the NBA Draft. Here are some of the possible destinations for him broken down into two categories, the hopefuls, and the realistic landing spots.
