Memphis Grizzlies Rumors: Multiple Teams Reportedly Interested In Trading For Mike Conley

The Utah Jazz have a good core to build with going forward and they have a chance to become a Western Conference contender in the near future. They are a high-level team on the defensive end, but some offensive struggles held them back as their weaknesses were put on full display in the playoff series against the Houston Rockets.
Donovan Mitchell has been inconsistent at times, but he has shown that he is a true up and coming star in this league. His struggles in the playoff were alarming as he made just 32% of his 22.4 shots per game, but a lot of that had to do with him not having a reliable teammate he could trust. Ricky Rubio was the second leading scorer in those five games at 15.4 points per game
Rubio had a good playoff series, but he still is thought of as the weaker link on this team. He showed that he can play at a high level, but in a conference filled with elite point guards such as Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, and Russell Westbrook it’s evident that the Jazz need something more. They also need some better play on the wing, but Joe Ingles and Jae Crowder are solid players they just need to be more consistent and come out and perform during the postseason.
Mitchell has the ball in his hands so often, but he still would be a great fit alongside Mike Conley who can play both on and off of the ball. His ability to make plays for both himself and others would help this offense in a big way. This offense has a long ways to go, but adding a high-level point guard to the mix would be key.
That would give them one of the best and most underrated big three’s in all of basketball with Mitchell and Conley in the backcourt to go along with Rudy Gobert at center. They might not be enough to get past the Warriors or the Rockets, but if Kevin Durant heads to the Eastern Conference that would open the door for other teams to compete and the Jazz should capitalize by trading for Mike Conley.
