The Memphis Grizzlies should persuade Vince Carter in NBA Free-Agency to rejoin them for his final season. Here are four good reasons why.

There are only three weeks remaining until NBA Free-Agency opens once again. While a lot of teams are chattering about what-if situations regarding superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, other teams are more focused on guys commanding fewer dollars in their salary. This should absolutely include the Memphis Grizzlies pursuing the services of swingman Vince Carter.

Carter is most definitely not in his prime, but he is still a big name that will land on the open market. He recently announced that he will return for one final NBA season — his 22nd in total — at the age of 42. This will set the stage for a season-long finale across the league, including all the opposing stadiums he travels to and plays in.

Surprisingly enough, Vince Carter continues to be a valuable contributor at the small forward and shooting guard positions. While it is incredible to see him throw down acrobatic dunks at his age, it is more impressive to see him playing meaningful minutes and contributing as much as he did for the Atlanta Hawks in the 2018-19 season.

In his 21st season, he appeared in 76 games en route to 7.4 points on 41.9% shooting accuracy (including 38.9% from long-range), 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 17.5 minutes per game. He has embraced the reserve role, but can still be a suitable full-in in times of need.

Vince Carter will soon hit NBA Free-Agency, and it will be interesting to see where he decides to suit up. Will he rejoin the Atlanta Hawks? Will he decide to go the traditional route of joining a top-tier contender in order to increase his chances of winning a ring before his official exit? Or will he opt for the highest bidder in order to maximize his paycheck one last time?

The free-agency of Carter will be something fun to watch, and it may be just what the NBA needs to help balance all the max contract talk that will undoubtedly have the basketball world spinning.

As the Memphis Grizzlies look to round out their roster for the 2018-19 season, they will need some veterans to mesh with their youthful rebuild. Vince Carter has already spent three seasons with the Grizzlies this decade, so why not a fourth? He was a fan favorite in the 901, and Beale Street Bears will now supply three reasons why he should consider the Grizzlies if Memphis comes calling.
