player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Forward. Duke. 7. Cam Reddish. 24

Cam Reddish came to Duke as the No. 2 overall prospect behind teammate R.J. Barrett in 2018. His stock has fallen some based on what he showed during the season, but the physical attributes and talent are still there.

He did not shoot a particularly high percentage from three this past season, but he has picture-perfect from, a quick release, and has range from anywhere in the gym. He can catch and shoot, but he also has the ability to get his own, utilizing a wide array of moves to create space or beat defenders off the dribble.

At times, Reddish was able to put it all together, scoring 20 or more in eight games last season. But he also disappeared completely at times, was wildly inconsistent game over game, and he shot an extremely low percentage from the field (35.6%) and from three (33.3%). His playing situation was less than favorable as the only perimeter shooter in a lineup of four freshman that struggled in the half court.

Reddish is a good passer and an adequate one-on-one defender, but has plenty of room to improve in both areas. He has a laid-back demeanor overall, does not bring a lot of intensity to the court, and at times can be too lackadaisical guarding off the ball.

If Reddish reaches his ceiling in the NBA, he could look very similar to Rashard Lewis. The more likely comp, at least so far, is Jeff Green — will go off for 25-30+ every so often to remind you what he is capable of but extremely inconsistent and cannot expect or rely on it.
