This star player may not have made huge news due to the incredible talent in this year’s draft, but that does not mean his statistics should be over looked. Keldon Johnson made a name for himself at Kentucky as a guard. Though he is only a freshman, he made a huge impact in the game. He averaged 13.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. These are impressive stats for one season on his college career.
He adds incredible versatility on a small lineup. His wingspan measures 6’9.” This allows for tight defense, while also being able to stretch the court offensively. His offense does lack at times and he needs more consistency, but the Jazz can use his young age to continue to mold the lineup. This is a lineup that continues to grow in young talent. This SEC Freshman of the Year can have a great career in the league. It may take time, but the Jazz certainly know talent takes time.
