The 2019 NBA Draft is officially here! Who do the top-30 prospects compare to in current and former NBA league history?

June 20th has arrived! That means the 2019 NBA Draft is here and the long wait is now over. For many teams, tonight will define their franchise in the coming years and even decades. From the players’ perspectives, some will become household names while others may be forgotten in a few short years.

The NBA Draft is a special time of year for hoops fans alike. College hoops meets professional hoops to produce plenty of excitement. Major cities are represented as their respective teams select young names to further represent them on and off the court. It is life-changing for all, but it up to the players to make the most of the situations they are placed within.

Now in the age of social media, some hoops fans do not bother to watch the NBA Draft live on ESPN. Rather, they will find out seconds before each pick is made via social media platforms. This year, much like most years, a few of the first picks seem to be set in stone. Some teams have been fairly certain of who they will be selecting ever since the May 14th NBA Draft Lottery. Yet, other teams — such as those placed late in the first round — will have to wait to see how the events unfold in order to determine who is available to choose from the draft pool.

Sometimes draft position does not matter at all. Maybe the first overall pick will not pan out. Perhaps a few All-Stars will develop from the latter portion of the first round. Maybe there will be a second-rounder or two that will defy all odds in the NBA to become a star-level player. This is something that makes the NBA and professional hoops exciting and entertaining to watch year-over-year. Tonight will be no different as hoops heads begin to watch the careers of these youngsters unfold.

While it is up to these prospects to put in the work in order to achieve their full potential, their past accomplishments and achievements greatly define where they land on Draft Night.
