Gilbert Arenas

Perhaps the biggest newcomer to BIG3 Season Three is Gilbert Arenas, who is known for his prolific scoring in the NBA over the course of 11 seasons. Today he is known for popping into headlines when he makes controversial statements or offers his candid opinion on a variety of topics — not just basketball-related. Arenas’ NBA career quickly began to fall when he brought firearms into the Washington Wizards’ locker room after engaging in conflict with one of his teammates at that time.

Arenas was one of the best scorers in the league during his days, especially in the late-2000s while with the Wizards. However, the Memphis Grizzlies provided an opportunity to extend his career in the 2011-12 season. There he played a total of 17 regular season games and provided some backup point guard stability for a roster dealing with injuries at the wrong time of the season. Without the Grizzlies, Arenas would have exited the NBA even sooner.

Now, BIG3 is the next platform for “Hibachi.” His existence alone should have fans tuning in each and every weekend of Season Three.
