Bonzi Wells

Having been one of the original BIG3 stars, Bonzi Wells continues to charge forward in his playing career at the age of 42. Wells was an NBA journeyman, but he made a lasting impact everywhere he played. This included a stop with the Memphis Grizzlies for 1.5 seasons where he quickly became a fan favorite.

Wells made a living off his energy and defense, and that will absolutely be the case for him in BIG3 Season Three. Even a stroke cannot force Wells to hang ’em up. His passion for the game is unmatched, and this truly demonstrates how great of an opportunity BIG3 offers for some of these NBA legends who want to extend their careers.

Regarding the meaning of BIG3 to these NBA veterans, Bonzi Wells tells Beale Street Bears that “a lot of us guys are in our 40s, we’re older. We can’t play like we used to. But to just get an opportunity to still come out here and play in arenas, be around this whole environment, meet Ice Cube. It’s just awesome — an awesome experience.”
