Chris Andersen

Better known as “Birdman,” Chris Andersen was a huge addition to BIG3 last season. His gestures of a bird on the court is a form of taunting the opponent, and the crowd always loves it. He blocks shots, slams home dunks, and has even begun to showcase an outside jumper. While it woud be hard to imagine him returning to NBA action, do not underestimate the skill set of Andersen.

At the very end of Andersen’s NBA career, he landed with the Memphis Grizzlies via trade. They made him serviceable, too, though an injury ended his tenure in the association. In just 20 regular season games with the Grizzlies, he became an instant fan favorite. This was no different for “Birdman” in any other city he had called home, except this particular time, the fan base gave him the “Grizz Zilla” nickname.

Regardless of which nickname you place on Chris Andersen, he is extremely recognizable. He is an asset to the BIG3 league, and not just because of his fame and popularity. He has skill, too.
