Lineup No. 3

Before we discuss the final lineup, it should surprise nobody that all three suggestions feature Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. They are the ones providing the franchise with a beacon of hope and excite all the fans. Moreover, if Memphis cannot keep Delon Wright, they will need a backup point guard in the long run and we do not know who that player would be.

So allow us to take a look at the final lineup:

Ja Morant, Grayson Allen, Andre Iguodala, Kyle Anderson, and Jaren Jackson Jr. make up this five-man bunch.

Here, Memphis goes small by playing Jackson Jr. at the five position and prioritizing ball movement by utilizing two point-forwards and good passers in Iguodala and Anderson.

They can run the floor, share the ball, and hurt opponents in transition. If Allen can knock down three-pointers as he did in college, and Anderson makes fans happy with a slight uptick in his shooting percentages, this lineup can provide good spacing too.

As for defense, how good would this group be in giving rivals a hard time getting buckets? Iguodala is an elite defender — even at the age of 35 — and could help Allen fulfill his potential as a stubborn lockdown defender. Jackson Jr. and Anderson were both starters in the final season of the Grit & Grind era, which is sufficient evidence that they can defend.
