4. 8.0 Points Per Game

Jones’ current potential for scoring can be place around 8.0 points per game. Every year in which his minutes have gone up, we have seen increased numbers from the 6’2″ guard, and this year should be no different.

Jones is not your typical scoring point guard. His game lends itself to moving the ball, and facilitating his teammates. When he does look to score, it’s often off of a 3-pointer off a pass, or a pic-and-roll scenario with his former All-Star center, Karl-Anthony Towns. Typically, his scoring output could be placed higher, but there are still some questions surrounding how well he and current center Jonas Valanciunas will work together. Still, considering that the Grizzlies are gearing towards a more small-ball minded approach, which will spread the floor and open up the paint, there is hope.
