3. 25.0 Minutes Per Game

If Jones does see a maximum of 25.0 minutes per game next year, it will be the smallest minutes increase between seasons that he’s seen, with the exception of 2016-17 season, when he saw a minutes reduction from the season prior.

Still, if Jones does start the season off on the bench, he’ll be getting his fair share of minutes playing behind Morant. The rookie will certainly need to take his time to get adjusted the league’s pace of play, and during that time, Jones could come in and help keep this fast-paced, young Grizzlies team afloat.

Another advantage to having Jones play more minutes than last season is that he’ll see a boost in his stats. With every minutes increase he’s seen, Jones has seen an increase in his stats. With that, Jones could be a very important addition off of the bench for Memphis.
