With all the recent talk of the Memphis Grizzlies’ unwillingness to engage in buyout talks with Andre Iguodala, it seems more and more likely he will begin the season in Memphis, making the aging star a prime trade candidate.

It should come as no surprise that Andre Iguodala wants to leave the Memphis Grizzlies. As exciting as they should be this season, Memphis will most likely not come close to sniffing the playoffs this season, making an aging star like Andre Iguodala an expendable asset. Even though the season hasn’t started yet, teams are working constantly to improve their rosters and its never to early to start talking trades. A contender would likely value Iggy for his versatility off the bench and his wing defense. In the event that he is traded in the short term and isn’t around at the start of the season, here are four early season trade destinations that would benefit the most from Iguodala.

A break would in all likelihood be beneficial for both teams. Iguodala does not fit particularly well on the current roster and will take minutes away from young talents such as Brandon Clarke. Quite simply, he is only still on the roster, and the Grizzlies wont buy him out, because the contending teams in the NBA have been interested in him from the moment he landed in Memphis. The following four teams are in the best situation for Iguodala to supplement their rosters, as well as providing Iguodala the opportunity to, once again, compete for an NBA Championship.
