4. Los Angeles Lakers

It should come as no surprise that the Lakers make this list. The rumor mill has the Lakers as one of the teams most interested in a deal for Iggy. The Lakers are firmly entrenched in “Win Now” mode and have made a flurry of moves this summer, most notably the acquisition of Anthony Davis.

However, they would benefit from having Iguodala coming off their relatively thin bench. Iguodala provides a strong defensive stopper and can effectively defend wings and smaller 4s. This is an ability the Lakers should covet as their neighbors, the Clippers, now have two of the most talented wings in the game, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. In the past, LeBron has been averse to playing with youngsters, routinely favoring veterans and established stars. This trade fits perfectly with the Lakers needs and also, possibly most importantly, would please LeBron.

The Grizzlies would get a nice return as well, netting more young talent to expedite the rebuild. In a recent Forbes article, Iguodala has little interest in helping to mentor the young players in Memphis. He wants to compete for a championship in what is possibly his last season. The Lakers provide Iggy one last shot at a ring.
