3. The Houston Rockets

Rockets GM Daryl Morey is no stranger to making moves. Over the summer, the acquisition of Russell Westbrook is an obvious move that the Houston Rockets are completely committed to winning and they have set their sights high once again. They want a championship, and Iguodala is a piece that can help them get there. Iguodala and PJ Tucker could form one of the best defensive wing combos in the NBA, allowing Mike D’Antoni to create defensive lineups that have the ability to switch and rotate, something the Rockets have lacked in recent years.

If a rematch with Golden State is in the cards when the playoffs come around again, Iggy could be the key piece in getting Houston past them. While providing additional defense on the wing, Iguodala has also proven to be a reliable shooter from the corners, something the analytically driven Rockets should covet.

Iguodala may also enjoy the opportunity to join the Rockets, as he was discarded unceremoniously from the Warriors, joining the Rockets could present him the opportunity for revenge against his former team. Its no secret how much Morey despises the Warriors and adding someone who could provide insight into Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr’s strategy against them could be the key to getting over the hump.
