1. The Toronto Raptors

The Raptors, fresh off the 2019 NBA Championship, shouldn’t be looking to go away quietly this season. The departure of Kawhi Leonard may have opened the door for other teams in the east to prevent the Raptors a chance to defend their NBA title next June. If Toronto isn’t sold on the potential of a breakout year from third year wing OG Anunoby, a trade for Iguodala may help to cover up some of the gaps Leonard’s departure has created.

While Iguodala isn’t a player on the caliber of Leonard, having someone who can, in a vacuum, do some things similar to Leonard can only help the Raptors as they pursue the defense of their NBA Championship and look to avoid the dreaded “championship hangover” that has haunted championship teams for an eternity.

Iguodala isn’t the player he once was, but helping to mask some of the defensive versatility Leonard afforded Tornoto last season could go a long way towards helping Toronto defend their title on a nightly basis. Iguodala is no slouch offensively, and though he cannot carry a team to wins like Kawhi, adding someone who can space the floor as effectively as Iguodala can only supplement budding talents such as Pascal Siakam, and help Toronto in their attempt to prove that last year was no fluke.
