3. Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers entered themselves into the conversation of NBA Champions, even with a lack of depth on the team, after they were able to pull Anthony Davis away from the New Orleans Pelicans and pair him with LeBron. Still though, there’s an argument to be made that the LA Clippers are the more likely team to come out of the West, as the Clippers beat the Lakers in the season opener (without Paul George, I might add).

If the Lakers are looking for the piece that could put them over their intrastadium rival, Iguodala might be the piece that they need.

The main problem for LA is what package they’d send for him. Considering most of their bench is on $1-$2 million contracts, there’s a lot that would need to go into making this dream a reality. Still, Rob Pelinka is looking for the piece that would prove to the world that Magic Johnson was wrong about him, and so he might be willing to go all in on Iguodala to get that Finals ring.

The most likely package that LA could offer would be Avery Bradley, JaVale McGee, Quinn Cook, and Talen Horton-Tucker to Memphis for Iguodala.
