1. Dwayne Dedmon and Bogdan Bogdanovic

The Sacramento Kings signed Dwayne Dedmon with high expectations this offseason and the idea was to space the floor for their star point guard De’Aaron Fox and their prized second year big man Marvin Bagley Jr. Thing have not gone as smoothly as they hoped and Dedmon has already requested a trade.

Were this trade to happen, the Grizzlies could use Dedmon as a quality backup center who can space the floor. In exchange, Memphis could send JV and Grayson Allen to Sacramento. The return for giving up their dominant big man could be Bodgan Bogdanovic, who cannot get consistent minutes despite having starter quality. Valanciunas makes a lot of sense for Sacramento, who currently rank 26th in pace. Valanciunas is more effective in slow tempo offenses and has the shooting touch to provide spacing for King’s above-named young stars.

In Grayson Allen,  the Kings would acquire a defensive-minded backup guard with potential for growth. He is averaging 7.6 points in only 16.9 minutes a game while shooting %36.6 from behind the 3 point line and can develop into a more reliable option in coming years.

Next. Where Grizzlies fall among young teams. dark

Bogdanovic, on the other hand, would be an instant upgrade for the Grizzlies and he could average 20+ points in a fast paced Grizzlies offense run by an elite floor general in Ja Morant. The Grizzlies need a capable scorer to help Morant and JJJ and although Dillon Brooks has made strides this season, he does not have Bogdanovic’s versatility on the offensive end of the floor.
