No. 5: The Boston Celtics

Schedule Score: 1

The fact that the Celtics have been able to keep up the level of play they have for the last three years despite how much turmoil they’ve seemed to go through is amazing. Over the last three years, the Celtics have had six different starting point guards. In fact, since the 2017-18 season, Boston has had just two point guards on their team who never saw a start.

And those stats are incomplete. We’re missing three games from the 2017-18 season, one game from the 2018-19 season, and 13 games from this season. That means that over the last three seasons, the Celtics have had 17 games where a point guard didn’t start, and despite all of that, they’ve made the playoffs every season (the Celtics had already locked in a playoff appearance before this season’s hiatus).

Boston’s ruggedness will almost surely come into play in the Orlando bubble too, as the Celtics have the Bucks, Blazers, and Heat as their first three opponents, all of which will be tough games. However, Boston’s schedule eases slightly thereafter, and the C’s will have a nice three-game end stretch of the Magic, Grizzlies, and Wizards, all teams that they could beat.
