No. 22: The Sacramento Kings

Schedule Score: -1.1

The Sacramento Kings are the lowest ranked team, based primarily on their record. The Kings don’t have a winning record against any opponent that they will be facing in this eight game stretch, and five of the eight teams are in the top eight. Throw in that their final game is against the Los Angeles Lakers, the top team in the West, and you have a hole too big for them to climb out of based on standing alone.

The Western Conference does see a few team’s standings help them, with 13 of the 22 teams competing being from the West it gives playoff teams a higher bonus, however teams outside of the top eight, such as the Kings, could be hurt by a low score in that category.

Ultimately, this stretch will be a tough one for the Kings, especially considering that at least three of their players have tested positive for Covid-19. With any luck, they’ll be able to push through and turn things around in time for the postseason.
