Another entry, another Western Conference team hurt by not being in the playoffs. And if history has shown us anything, it’s that we’re bound to hear about this schedule from Damian Lillard sooner or later.
All jokes aside, The Blazers are another team with a tough selection of opponents. For their eight foes, the Blazers only have a winning record against the Houston Rockets, and all eight of them are in the top 8 of either conference.
Portland is aided by being ninth in their conference, giving them a standings score of five, but it’s not enough to overcome the barriers given to them by their record and opponents. Luckily, we have plenty of examples of Portland overcoming the odds in a playoff series, and their stars seem to be on another level once the postseason rolls around. If only they could play like that year-round.
