No. 20: The Phoenix Suns

Schedule Score: -1.

The Suns are hurt by only having a winning record against the Philadelphia 76ers, however they do have a couple of stalemates with opponents, which yields a score of 0. A tough schedule hurts Phoenix as well, since only one opponent (the Washington Wizards) are not in the top eight of either conference.

Phoenix’s standing also doesn’t help, as they are the worst team in the West to make the bubble. It could be argued that Phoenix’s involvement in this experiment has less to do with their regular season success, and more to do with the failures of the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Still, Phoenix’s slew of young talent might be a benefit to them in the early going, as it will take them less time to adjust to playing than it will for some of the older teams. Regardless of that, the Suns are still going to have a very difficult road in front of them if they want to play into the postseason.
