No. 2: Ja Morant (2019-20)

Now, again, Morant’s status here is probably hurt by the fact that his rookie season hasn’t finished yet, but with 59 games played and an average of 30.0 minutes per game, Morant had enough cumulative minutes to actually reach the second tier.

And the fact that JA12 appears on this list, really, should be no surprise. This season, Morant has averaged 17.6 points, 6.9 assists, and 3.5 rebounds on 49.1 percent shooting from the field and 36.7 percent shooting from 3 point range. Morant has shown that he can do it all, and his skillset is all the more valuable when plugged into the Grizzlies fast paced offense.

This season, Memphis had the seventh fastest pace in the league at 103.26 and the fourth highest fast break points at 17.9. Morant’s style of play fits perfectly into that, he lives for the highlight of the fast break, and his numbers show it.
