Winner: Jaren Jackson Jr.

We gave him some (fair) criticism in the last one we did of these, so it seems only far that Jaren Jackson Jr.’s incredible performance is what we start out on this time around.

Triple J silenced any doubters he had left from that iffy performance against the Miami Heat by going off for 21 points, three rebounds, two steals, and two blocks while shooting 8-13 from the field and 2-5 from 3-point range. Jackson Jr. also nailed a critical 3-point shot late in the fourth quarter with a defender draped all over him to tie the game at 106.

While Jackson Jr. did also give the ball up three times in the game, he was perfect from the free throw line–one of just three Grizzlies with more than one free throw to do that in this game–and he did this all while showing some nice endurance by playing 35 minutes, which is the third highest among the Grizzlies in the game.

The game seems to have shaken Jackson Jr. from whatever slump he was experiencing, and has renewed Grizzly fans hopes for a JJJ/Clarke/Morant big three tandem for this team heading into the future.
