1. Cassius Stanley (Duke)
Cassius Stanley is a 6’6″ swingman with a weight of 193 pounds. Stanley is one of the most explosive players in the 2020 draft, recording a 44-inch vertical leap.
Stanley does not stand out on defense on a high level, but is adequate enough to make his presence be known. His 36 percent shooting from beyond the arc and causing issues for defenses in transition should draw some eyes from the Grizzlies’ front office.
Stanley could be a favorite out of these players for one simple reason: He is a Duke product. The Grizzlies already have former “Dukies” Grayson Allen, Justice Winslow and Tyus Jones on the roster.
While Winslow has yet to suit up for the Grizzlies, he should play a major role next season, and Jones and Allen play key roles for the Grizzlies off the bench. Expect the Grizzlies to pick Cassius Stanley if available regardless of any other available guys in the second round due to his shooting ability, explosiveness, and crazy athleticism in transition. Not to mention the Duke connection.
