Memphis Grizzlies: Ranking the top 5 game day uniforms of all time
Best Memphis Grizzlies uniforms of all-time: 3. Beale Street baby blue alternates
Memphis really hit the mark with these baby blue uniforms.
These were released in 2009 and represent Beale Street in Memphis. The baby blue gives a perfect representation of Beale Street, which is known as “Home of the Blues” by many in America.
Not only were the Grizzlies stylish during the years of the baby blues, but they went on to make the playoffs six straight times after their unveiling. There was also plenty of star-power wearing these uniforms, including Zach Randolph, Allen Iverson, Marc Gasol, and Mike Conley.
This uniform is this high up on the list for a couple reasons.
The Grizzlies became a force to reckon with in the league after their release, which made these jerseys memorable and impactful. Some of the most important and successful years in Grizzlies history happened with these jerseys on.
Also, these jerseys are just so nice to look at. The baby blue and navy blue work really well together, along with the font on the jerseys as well. You can’t get much better than this design, hence why we are down to just two more uniforms.
