The Memphis Grizzlies have somehow maintained a record around .500 for most of the season without their second-best player in Jaren Jackson Jr. But as a result of absences from Jackson, Ja Morant, and Justise Winslow, the Grizzlies have some confusion in their lineup.

So far, they haven’t established a very concrete lineup, with guys rotating in and out of the starting lineup. We’ve seen established players like Brandon Clarke get a fair amount of starts, while second-round draft pick Xavier Tillman has notched 7 starts himself.

As we get into the season, it seems like Taylor Jenkins is beginning to settle into a lineup that looks something like this:

PG: Ja Morant, SG: Dillon Brooks, SF: Kyle Anderson, PF: Brandon Clarke, C: Jonas Valanciunas

We have, however, seen distinct changes in this list throughout the year. For example, in a win against the Houston Rockets, we saw Brandon Clarke begin the game on the bench and Desmond Bane step into the starting lineup. Obviously, that worked well, and Clarke even played a strong game off the bench.

Which Memphis Grizzlies player will become the 6th man upon the return of Jaren Jackson Jr.?

But we’re approaching the NBA All-Star break, and as Grizzlies fans know well, this means we’re approaching the return of Jaren Jackson Jr. And with the return of Jackson, somebody is going to get sent to the bench at the beginning of each game.

The Grizzlies have a ton of talent on their team, but it’s hard to gauge who will become the 6th man with so many players of an even skill level. It could be Brandon Clarke, Desmond Bane, Dillon Brooks, Tyus Jones, or even De’Anthony Melton.

Who will step up as the Memphis Grizzlies 6th man later this year?
