Memphis Grizzlies SG John Konchar has affected the game in ways the other guards haven’t

Here is a very interesting player that you don’t really hear about, John Konchar.

John isn’t the most explosive player, he’s not the best shooter, passer, or rim protector. However, Konchar has done a good job of doing some of the dirty work or parts of the game that doesn’t really go noticed.

Last season, Konchar showed promise in his scoring capabilities, shooting almost 65% from the field and 50% from three in limited minutes. Due to an increased workload, his percentages have gone down quite a bit, but he is making an impact in different ways, including on the boards and on the defensive side of the ball.

John is ranked first on the team out of the guards in total rebound percentage and is tied for first in steal percentage. He also takes care of the ball as he has the second lowest turnover percentage on the team.

Even though Konchar’s stats aren’t eye-popping, he has done a part in helping this team win. However, Konchar needs to step up his offensive game to get a better grade by the end of the season.
