NBA All-Star Game: Memphis Grizzlies PG Ja Morant/PF Jaren Jackson Jr.

It was impossible to choose between these two guys, but Ja Morant has the potential to become an NBA All-Star in the near future. Jaren Jackson Jr., on the other hand, will likely have a longer path to this game.

I don’t have to tell you much about Morant; he’s just a star. He missed the All-Star game this year, but you can just about guarantee that he’ll be in it at some point in his career. As quickly as his first season, he took over this Memphis Grizzlies team. He is “the guy” for Taylor Jenkins and that won’t change any time soon. If he can figure out his 3-point shooting, he’ll be in without a doubt.

Jaren Jackson Jr. will, like I said, have a longer path to the All-Star game. He’s still extremely young, and as a big man, will likely take a bit longer to develop. Right now, he’s an elite rim protector and a solid offensive player. If he can cut down on his fouls, he’ll start getting more playing time and becoming a stronger overall player.

We’ll likely see both of these guys in the NBA All-Star game at some point, but they each have a long way to go. For now, Grizzlies fans can sleep well knowing that they have two of the most promising young players on the same team.
