Memphis Grizzlies C: Jonas Valanciunas

Even with Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. on the team, this position may have been the most obvious start. Who else would be the starting center of this team?

Jonas Valanciunas has been huge in Jaren Jackson Jr.’s absence. His size alone almost makes up for the fact that the Grizz have been playing small-ball, or at least something similar to small-ball, for most of the season.

His PER tells a lot of the story. At 20.23, he’s the highest on the team and it has showed. He’s a guy that you don’t like to come up against, but love to have on your team. Valanciunas will likely have some slight statistical drop-offs with Jackson Jr. back, but don’t expect the quality of his minutes to drop.
