It may not seem important to Memphis Grizzlies fans, but we are about a week away from the start of the NCAA tournament. Every year in the NCAA tournament, players become stars and shoot up draft boards.

After March Madness, we get into transfer season and guys start to declare for the NBA draft. For the most part, in the last couple of years, the Grizzlies have acquired younger players who spent a bulk of their time in college. Excluded from this list are players like Jaren Jackson Jr, Ja Morant, and De’Anthony Melton.

The Grizz have also done a good job signing undrafted free agents such as Killian Tillie, Jontay Porter, Sean McDermott and John Konchar.

The Memphis Grizzlies tend to draft agreeable players

There even have been jokes on social media about NBA Twitter running the Memphis Grizzlies’ front office, since they always seem to draft players that Grizzlies Twitter is high on. Jackson, Brandon Clarke, Xavier Tillman, and Desmond Bane are some of the draft picks that people spoke highly of on the bird app.

Right now, the Grizzlies would have the 14th pick in the draft and are 9th in the west, pegging them as a lottery team. According to NBA.com, The Grizzlies are currently 20th in offense and 7th in adjusted defense.

Memphis is also 21st in the league in 3-point percentage and 27th in attempts. Getting Jackson healthy would help, but a place where the Grizzlies can improve their offense is shooting via the NBA Draft.

This list will contain a prospect for the case of the Grizzlies playing well enough to leave them out of the lottery, along with another player to keep an eye on if Memphis falls into the lottery.
