The Memphis Grizzlies are a young franchise with only about a quarter-century of basketball under their belt. That being said, they’ve already made quite a bit of noise in the NBA trade market.

Most of this is a result of great drafting from the Grizzlies. Compared to most teams, they’ve had elevated luck, pulling in college players who can make an immediate difference.

Just look at this year’s roster. Nearly the entire team is comprised of guys whose careers have panned out as well or better than projected. Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Brandon Clarke, and others. The list goes on and on.

The Memphis Grizzlies will likely continue to create blockbuster trades

Because of this, we will likely see more successful trades in the future. In fact, there could still be a deal done before the trade deadline. That being said, the Grizzlies’ front office has given no indication that they’ll make a move, so we may have to wait until the offseason.

When we do see a trade, we’ll have the utmost confidence in this organization to get a deal done. Past trades have shown that these guys know how to do what’s best for the team.

In fact, it was difficult to narrow it down to just three, but we had to do it.

You’ll notice that the Mike Conley trade is not on here; that is by design. The trade has paid dividends for the Memphis Grizzlies, but it wasn’t the most eye-popping trade at the time. The three trades mentioned will be deals that were great in the moment, so you can consider the Conley deal an honorable mention.
