The Memphis Grizzlies can compete with contenders, but not with consistency

So far, the answer is yes. Sort of.

The Memphis Grizzlies are extremely young, and as a result of that, they’re growing and developing with each game. You can see a very vivid example of this with rookie Desmond Bane and his path to the starting lineup.

So even though this team was a squad that was getting, for lack of a better term, obliterated by strong NBA teams, they seem to have turned a page after the return of Justise Winslow.

The defense was struggling, but Winslow has brought consistency off the bench, holding down this team. And even though we didn’t think he’d make a huge difference, it looks like he has given this team a small boost that could go a long way by the end of the regular season.

But this team still isn’t able to get the job done. They’ve got one missing piece.
